HOLIDAY CLUBS

Holiday Club days……. Easter – Young people from age 3 to 12 years old took part in scavenger and Easter egg hunts, made dens, created flags with leaf prints, used tools such as saws, palm drills and hammers to make wooden Easter rabbits and necklaces from logs, woodland creatures from clay, made small fires, cooked popcorn and made our version of woodland jam doughnuts in a fire pit, which were very popular!

In the summer holidays we looked at native American folklore which told legends of little people living in the woods. The children recreated these people and they were shown how to make tippees. Many children also made ‘little worlds’ and we experimented with making and cooking Native American fry bread on a fire, as well as some woodland games connected to the folklore!

We had some great feedback too! :
